Build HK-Aerial
You have probably seen my HK-Drone. This is the new HK-Aerial (aka Hunter Killer) as seen in Terminator Salvation.

This is the refrence picture I used:

My HK-Aerial will not have the "open" mode as seen in the above image. I do not remember seeing this mode in the movie either.

These are the pics of my current HK-Aerial:

It has an all new flight system, much different than the one used in the HK-Drone. Instead of inputing a desired angle in, then increasing thrust as the elevation drops (hard to see but this is how the drone works) I input a desired forward thrust, and the Aerial calculates the proper angle to rotate each thruster to to get the desired thrust. As a result, the Aerial is MUCH more stabile at high speeds, with little or no dipping as it flys, except for some at very high speeds. While this seems like tirvial Trigonometry, it is, but the hard part is actually getting E2 to calculate Pitch from -180 to 180, instead of 0 to 90 to 0 to -90 and back to 0

I have also made the thrusters work upside down. No, they don't negate the thrust, the thrusters actually can point downward when it is too high in the air and push it back down. With this development, I will be able to make the Aerial do quick barrel rolls, without freaking out or crashing. The HK-Aerial from Terminator Salvation actually does a barrel roll when it is released from the cargo transport and attacks the persuing A-10 Thunderbolts. This will be much the same.

At the moment it does fly, but it has no motional awareness so it does not counteract any translational or rotational movement along the x-y plane, but it is stable.

My plans are to use a mouse aimed stearing system, that controls similar to how Tenchi's 3D flight does, just, not in full 3D. I will add the 2 turrets underneath it and also add my own missile system.

Sorry for neglecting the HK-Drone thread, I was too anxious to not work on the Aerial, I will try to get a video up for both the Drone and the Aerial soon, as well as post the code for my missile system.
